Community Groups

"Life is Better in Community!"

One of the great things about NCC is the power of great friendships!  We actually like being together!  Community groups are a natural result of these friendships--small groups of friends gathering together to share life, strengthen their faith, and encourage each other along the way!   We desire for everyone in our church to be connected relationally because we firmly believe that Life truly is better in community!

These groups are going on now!! Contact the church for details!

RELATIONSHIP BASED COMMUNITY GROUPS

  • Alpha Course

What is Alpha? Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Everyone is welcome!  Our next Alpha group, which will be facilitated by Jerry Cassell, will begin Monday, September 18 at 10:00am. This Alpha group will meet at ACT II, 245 Jefferson Street (across the street from our church facilities).

  • CONSIDERING JESUS: REMEMBERING YOUR FIRST LOVE

We talk a lot about Jesus in Christian culture and in society in general, but it is easy to lose touch with who Jesus really is. Women, come join us this fall for what will be part study, part practicum designed to help us get reacquainted with our first love. This ladies only study, led by Donna Tallman, will begin Wednesday evening, September 20 at 6:00pm, room 103 in our church facilities.

  • A QUILTING GROUP!

This Saturday morning quilting group is a great way to bridge the generation gap, share stories, build friendships and explore how God stitches the fabric of our lives with His plans and purposes for our good. Everyone is welcome regardless of skill level. Those who already quilt can bring and work on their own projects. There will be a group project for those who are learning and need guidance with every step. Please contact Sheila for more details if you are interested. This group will meet on Saturday mornings from 9-11, September 16-November 11. Location: NCC Barracks.
